The Timothy Smith Fund web site was a collaborative effort between the fund manager Robert J. Fleming, Dick Snyder TechBoston Community Grants Manager Boston Public Schools, WebsareUs.com, and local TechBoston high school students Vincent Ma and Sinh Nguyen.

The design and production process was executed by Sinh and Vincent with the guidance of the WebsAreUs.com design and programming departments. The effort was highly successful, and rewarding for all involved parties.

I am currently a senior at the John D. O'Bryant High School. My interest in computers ranges from basic computer applications to web design and development. However, I did not gain most of my computer skills through formal training, but rather through my own efforts and curiosity of going online and learning basics through tutorials, and exploring the huge variety of pages that the web has to offer to help give me ideas for my designs. Also, I have attended several jobs that not only allow me to focus on designing pages professionally, but allowed me to work with professionals in the business as well. This was really important, because the knowledge and guidance they have provided me during my days there have really advanced my skills. Although I do not plan on majoring in web design or development, I believe it is an important skill to have in this world that depends so much on the information that we put up on the web. I have decided to work on a degree in computer science, and I'm sure that my experience of designing web pages will prove invaluable in the future.

Computer is the interesting tool that I am always thirsty to explore and learn. Since having the chances at Dorchester High School, I've learned to work as well as a web programmer and a designer. From those experiences of years in high school, I've been working on the school web project, which enables parents, teachers, and students easily to get connected and to know more about each other.

Computer Science is my favorite subject in college and I look forward to pursuing it as my major.
